Religious Education (RE) classes are open to all school age children. Children start the service with the congregation through 'Joys & Concerns' and then move downstairs for the remainder of the service with the RE Teacher.
In February 2011, our RE program began using the Tapestry of Faith curriculum provided by the Unitarian Universalist Association. "Tapestry of Faith is a series of programs and resources for all ages that nurture Unitarian Universalist identity, spiritual growth, transforming faith and vital communities of justice and love."
The Tapestry of Faith for the youth includes stories, worship, songs and activites which inspire social action, ethical and spiritual living and a foundation for a faith based life. The Tapestry of Faith website provides additional information for parents and children who have questions or would like to learn more about the lessons.

Because the ages of the RE students range from five year olds to teens, a holistic teaching approach is provided. For questions regarding the RE program, please contact Mary Mason at auckland@unitarian.org.nz
